Crawling Valley Reservoir Fishing Tips

Besides pike and walleye, you can also catch burbot, especially during the winter months. There is also perch in this lake.

If you are after the burbot, try to fish later in the evening.

The area around the boat launch and on the east side of the lake across from it is good for catching burbots.

Other good spots are located along the channels but be careful when driving there on the ice.

Minnows and smelts work great at CVR and if you are ice fishing at night try using glowing jig heads.

In the past Crawling Valley used to have a decent amount of trout but it is not as abundant anymore.
