Galatea Lakes are located about 2 km from Lillian Lake in Kananaskis Country.
From the parking lot, it is about an 8 km one-way hike with an elevation gain of ~800 m. The hike becomes more challenging and much steeper after the Lillian Lake and that’s why Galatea Lakes are usually not very busy.
The most common fish in Galatea Lakes are Cutthroat and Rainbow Trout. Due to the lack of food, most of the fish is about 5″-10″ long.
