Bear Pond is a small lake located along Highway 532 in Kananaskis Country. The most common fish in this lake is Arctic Grayling but you may also catch Rainbow Trout there. Bear Pond might be affected by winterkill.
Bear Pond Directions
Bear Pond is located 141 km SW from Calgary and about 19 km west of Chain Lakes Reservoir. Highway 532 is a gravel road and you will need to walk for about 500 m to get to the lake. The road to the lake is closed in the winter.
There is another lake called Big Iron Lake where you can fish as well located to the north of Bear Pond. There is no drivable road to Big Iron Lake and you will need to hike for about 1 hour to get there.
