Castle River Fishing

Castle River is a popular fly fishing destination in Southern Alberta. The most common fish species in Castle River are Mountain Whitefish, Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, and Cutthroat Trout.

Castle River starts as West Castle River and South Castle River but then combines into one just before the Castle River Bridge Campground area.

Bears and other wildlife are common around the Castle River area due to its remote location so carrying bear spray is a must.
