Loomis Lake is located in Kananaskis Country. There is a 13 km one-way hike with an elevation gain of around 750 m to get to the lake. There is small Cutthroat Trout there.
Due to the length of this hike, some people choose to do it in two days by camping for one night near the lake.
Loomis Lake Directions
The trail to Loomis Lake starts at Lineham Creek Day Use Area located 126 km SW of Calgary. This is a relatively remote area with 6 shallow creek crossings.
You can bike most of the trail until the last few kilometers.
