Mud Lake is located on the opposite side of the road (Smith Dorrien Trail) from the Chester Lake parking lot in Kananaskis Country.
There are reports of cutthroat trout in Mud Lake but fishing is usually slow here.
If you are in the area, Chester Lake has much better fishing but you do need to hike to get to the lake.
