Running Rain Lake is located in Kananaskis’ Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park. The hike to the lake is 3 km each way with an elevation gain of 270 m.
The trailhead to Running Rain Lake is located 152 km SW of Calgary. You can find small Cutthroat in this lake however there are reports of winterkill.
There are a lot of bugs around the lake during the summer months.
