Sheep River Fishing

Sheep River is located just south of Calgary and flows through Okotoks before combining with Highwood River.

The most common fish species in Sheep River are Mountain Whitefish, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout.

Most people fly fish near Okotoks or west of Turner Valley in Sheep River Provincial Park. Usually, nymphs work the best.
