Dalemead Lake Directions
Dalemead Lake is located 55 km from Calgary downtown just of Highway 22 East. Accessing this lake is a little tricky and you will need to do it on foot after parking off the highway. There is irrigational property around the lake. There is also access on the north side of the lake.
Dalemead Lake Fishing Tips
The main fish that you will encounter at Dalemead is a pike. Since it is a very shallow lake, you might have more luck if you have a boat when fishing in the summer.
The lake access is better in the winter and ice fishing is quite popular at Dalemead. Minnows and smelts usually work great for catching pike. The north side of the lake seems to be better for fishing than the south side.
